Immediate danger
If someone’s life is at risk, they have seriously injured themselves, taken an overdose, or you cannot keep yourself or somebody else safe, call 999 or go to A&E.
Urgent mental health help in England
Call 111 and select the mental health option, or use NHS 111 online. NHS guidance says 111 can direct you to the right urgent support.

- We will try to use plain language and point people towards established support.
- We will not diagnose a condition or present general website content as personalised medical advice.
- We will not knowingly publish personal stories without a separate moderation and safeguarding process.
- We will avoid asking people to disclose sensitive details where they are not needed.
- If future features collect sensitive information, they will require a separate privacy, security and safeguarding review before launch.
Children and young people
This general website can be read by anybody, but it is not currently designed as a dedicated service for children. We do not currently ask children or young people to create accounts or send us personal information.
